In China tea is much more than just a warm beverage, it is an historic drink that both emperors and farmers alike, have enjoyed for thousands of years. There are several kinds of tea in China, as well as styles of tea drinking and even various styles of tea pouring. Tea can be used as a casual drink, for medicinal purposes as well as for part of dramatic or performance art. Tea is considered to be the world?s most popular drink, consumed by more people than either coffee or cocoa, which are a distance second and third. China has, predating the days of Silk Road trading, always been one of the world?s major exporters of tea.
