Blue Ear Pig flu has been drifting around China for the past few months after first being reported in Vietnam in early 2007. Blue Ear Pig Flu has now reached Sichuan province, which is the pork producing capital of China. The Pig Flu hit Sichuan province in June and July 2007 and devastated small pig growers, most lost 50-70 percent of their stock, leaving an economic disaster in its wake. The government issues a warning about Blue Ear Pig Flu in June 2007 but has been slow to respond with vaccines and economic compensation.
