Alimjan is a heroin addict living in Kashgar, China. He had been using the drug for several years before seeking help at a local clinic. He now is using methadone provided by the clinic to help stop his heroin addiction once and for all. In Kashgar AIDS is has erupted as one of the foremost problems in this Islamic region of China. The situation has become so serious that the government health services have enlisted the help of Imams, operating out of local mosques, to help spread information about the dangers of drug abuse and protestation.
