A worker walks, and stays inside the yellow lines, at the old Ma Steel factory. The Ma Steel Company, located in Anhui province in central China, is one of the country's top 10 steel producers and is the main employer in Maanshan city. The Steel company has recently begun using CDQ technology, standing for: Coke Dry Quenching, and CCPP technology, standing for: Combined Cycle Power Plant. Both technologies basically allow Ma Steel to trap gases and dust that would escape in to the atmosphere, and transfer that heat and gas in to energy, which can then run the steel plant, thereby making the factory less dependent on the grid for electricity.
