A woman walks down an old neighborhood set for destruction. Old neighborhoods in Shanghai are being destroyed at an alarming rate. Shanghai government officials have made a clear decision to move forward and develop the city at all costs, without much interest in preserving any of the historical neighborhoods. And with the destruction of these old laneways and homes, is the destruction of a way of life.
